Short Play Description

Four students at a boarding school in New Hampshire risk spending the night in the abandoned headmaster’s house that is reportedly haunted. Though they don’t discover any ghosts, they meet up with some interesting characters in a realm called Elsewhere. The huffalo librarian introduces the four to their mission, but does little to inform them of the adventures they will face.  Not only do they meet the Amber Phoenix and Frostbringer, but the Clockmaker, tooth goblins, and other intriguing creatures.

Rehearsals have been well underway, and the play involves 21 students with some playing multiple parts. The costumes are fun, the sound effects add a mystical element, and the actors are working hard to present this ‘dramedy’ for your approval.

Dramedy? Yes, it is a comedy, but there are layers. It is a thought-provoking, laugh-out-loud dramedy with three performances. There is an entrance fee, with all funds going to the fine arts, drama dept. There will also be a concession stand available.
