MVHS to present ‘Arsenic & Old Lace’
The Missouri Valley High School Drama Dept. has been preparing for their upcoming performances over the first part of November.
The 2024 Fall Cast is made up of 14 actors and five backstage crew members. This includes seniors’ Aiden Rangel, Adam Meadows, Xavier Rangel, Theron Felner, Zoe Gufford, Abby Anunson.
Performance Times, Nov. 8 - 10
There will be three chances to catch these talented thespians, and it includes
Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 -- 7 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 10 -- 2 p.m.
Short Play Description
Two, elderly sisters, Abby and Martha, are taking care of their confused nephew, Teddy, who thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy's brother, Mortimer stops in to say hi every now and then. While stopping by, Mortimer discovers a body! Thinking the worst, he calls in his aunts to alert them of what Teddy had done, however, it was the aunts who did it! Not wanting to turn in his family members, he frantically tries to figure out a plan to protect them.
While worrying about his aunts, his estranged brother, Johnathan returns with the renown Dr. Einstein (Herman Einstein, that is.). In his return, Johnathan brings a world of chaos to the family. With cops showing up throughout the show, will their secrets be discovered? Will Teddy be sent to an insane asylum? Will one of the cops write a play? Come find out!
