Bradley D. Shook, 51

Bradley Delmar Shook, 51, died on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb. He was born on July 18, 1969, to Charles and Patricia (Bower) Shook in Omaha. Brad grew up in Missouri Valley and graduated in the Class of 1987. After graduation he went to work at Continental Finishing where he was a stitcher operator. For a short time, he was a hunting and fishing guide in Kansas. He went on to work supervisor jobs in the bindery business at Wright Printing in Omaha, Perfection Press in Logan, and then Graphic Packaging in Omaha. On Aug. 26, 1995, Brad married Tonia Clark in Missouri Valley. The couple has always called Logan their home.

Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He loved to follow his kids in all their activities. Brad was a very social person; he knew no stranger. He was always telling jokes and stories. Most of all, Brad loved his family.

Brad was preceded in death by his father and his father-in-law, Jim Clark. He is survived by his wife, Tonia Shook of Logan; children, Alex and Gage Shook; mother, Patricia Shook of Missouri Valley; sister, Teri Shook of Missouri Valley; mother-in-law, Lorene Clark of Pisgah; sister-in-law, Tina Fitzmaurice of Ankeny; and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine. Shari McCormick presided over the service. The recorded musical selections were “Three Wooden Crosses” by Randy Travis, “Drink a Beer” by Luke Bryan, “She Likes To Ride In Trucks” by Colt Ford and “I’ve Always Been Crazy” by Waylon Jennings. The pallbearers were Gail Hatcher Jr, Bryant Hatcher, Todd Stevens, Jason Christiansen, Brandon Fitzmaurice and Tony Fitzmaurice. The honorary pallbearers were Bob Mocha, Eddie Smalley, Dick Shook and Rich Shook. Brad’s final resting place is at the Soldier Valley Cemetery outside Pisgah.
