City of Modale City Council Meeting Minutes February 8, 2021 The regular meeting of the Modale City Council was held on February 8, 2021. Mayor James Cox called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers Sal Vittitoe, Kevin, Ganzhorn, Terigene Tiffey, Katie Offenbacker and Kathy Dugdale were present. Visitors present were Kent Beebe, Tonie Copeland and Lynette Sell. Staff present was Marty Skinner and Linda Windschitl. Ganzhorn made a motion to approve the consent agenda. Tiffey seconded the motion; motion carried with a 5-0 vote. The public hearing for the Max Tax Levy opened at 7:04 p.m. and closed at 7:08 p.m. No comments or questions were made. Ganzhorn made a motion by Resolution 2021-10 to approve the Max Tax Levy for the fiscal year 2020 budget. Vititoe seconded the motion; motion carried by a 5-0 vote. Tammy reported for the Library. Tammy asked for the second half of the budget to be put into the Library’s account. Tiffey made a motion to transfer $3,500.00 to into the Library’s account. Ganzhorn seconded the motion; motion carried with a 5-0 vote. No one reported for the Fire Department. The council discussed dirt for the sewer lagoon project. The soil samples came back showing the soil would be usable for the Lagoon project. Ganzhorn made a motion to move forward with an archeological survey. Tiffey seconded the motion; motion carried with a 5-0 vote. Ganzhorn made a motion to approve the move of two CD’s to the checking account for the roads project if they come due this month. Each CD totals $20,095.60 for a grand total of $40,191.20. Vittitoe seconded the motion; motion carried with a 5-0 vote. Ganzhorn made a motion to adjourn. Vittitoe seconded the motion; motion carried with a 5-0 vote.
