Darwin Laverne Rief, age 83, passed away Jan. 18, 2022. He was born March 26, 1938, to Harold and Thelma (Bird) Rief in Crescent. Darwin worked as a welder and retired after many years as a truck driver. He was an animal lover, a big fan of western movies and loved to travel, spending many winters in Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Thelma (Bird) Rief; and brother, Ronald Rief.
Darwin is survived by his brother, Darrell (Pam) Rief; sister, Joan (Richard "Dick") Gilman; sister-in-law, Diane Rief; and aunt, Norma Heath; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
A private family memorial service will be held.
