Dennis E. “Denny” Taylo, age 79, of Crescent, passed away Nov. 25, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha. Denny was born Feb. 23, 1945, in Council Bluffs to the late Orville K. “Jiggs” and Mary Elaine (Smith) Taylo. He graduated from Missouri Valley High School. Denny was the owner of Denny’s Place in Crescent for 31 years, 1989-2020. Before that he was a farmer, truck driver and business owner. Denny loved his girls, NASCAR, football, trips to Mexico and visiting Graceland where Elvis lived. In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Hugh Thompson, and Val Jones. Denny is survived by his daughters, Bridget (Jamie) Hill and their children, Harley and Hailey Hill, Brandie (Matt) McAtee and their daughter, Hadley McAtee; siblings, Carolyn Thompson, and Patty Jones; four nieces and two nephews. Celebration of Life Service was held Monday, Dec. 16, 2024 at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. A luncheon followed at Denny’s Place in Crescent. The family will direct memorial contributions.
