Four area softball gems earn IGCA All-State Softball honors
Four area standouts recorded Iowa Girls Coaches Assocation All-State Softball honors from this past softball season.
Missouri Valley’s Brooklyn Lange (sr.) and Audrie Kohl (jr.) picked up Class 2A, Third Team All-State honors. Lange led the Lady Reds with a .455 batting average, 11 doubles, four triples, and added five home runs. Kohl finished with a .422 batting average, eight home runs, and 36 RBIs. In the circle, Kohl finished with 19 wins, sporting a 1.90 ERA, and adding 220 strikeouts in 169.1 innings pitched.
Woodbine’s Charlie Pryor (jr., Class 1A, first team) was a double threat for the Tigers. At the plate, she finished with a .561 batting average, four home runs and 26 RBIs, while adding 33 stolen bases. In the circle, she finished with 17 wins and 215 strikeouts in 125 innings pitched. Nicole Hoefer (sr., Class 1A, honorable mention) finished with a .368 batting average, adding three doubles and 15 RBIs.
