IN THE JUVENILE COURT OF HARRISON COUNTY, IOWA AT LOGAN, IOWA NOTICE OF HEARING (CHILD IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE) JUVENILE NUMBER JVJV001889, 1890, 1891 IN THE INTEREST OF: NB, TO, PO MINOR CHILDREN You are hereby notified that there is presently on file in this Court a verified petition alleging that the child named above has committed a delinquent act; a copy of the petition is attached. You are further notified that an Adjudication hearing on the merits of said petition has been set for the 14th day of July, 2021 at 11:30 a.m., before this Court at the Harrison County Courthouse, at Logan, Iowa. You are further notified that said children shall be represented by counsel at all proceedings subsequent to the filing of this petition. Said counsel can be retained by a parent, guardian, or custodian or appointed by the Court. If appointed by the Court, the parents, guardian or custodians will be required to complete an Application for appointment of Counsel and Affidavit of Financial Condition of parents, guardian, or custodian. Upon completion of said Application and Affidavit submitted to the Juvenile Court Services Office, a hearing on the ability of a parent, guardian or custodian to pay for the child’s attorney will be held, and the Court may order a parent, guardian, or custodian to pay in whole or part for the employment of children’s attorney. You are further notified that a parent, guardian or custodian may retain their own counsel to be present at all hearings and proceedings. If you desire counsel but believe that you are financially unable to employ counsel, you must complete an Application of Counsel and Affidavit of Financial Condition of Parent, Guardian, or Custodian. Upon completion of said Application and Affidavit submitted to the Juvenile Court Services Office, a hearing will be held on your ability to pay for your counsel. You are further notified that a hearing or proceeding may take place without your presence if you fail to appear after reasonable notification.
