Jimmy “Jim” Tiffey, age 63, of Missouri Valley passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, at his home in Missouri Valley. Jim was born April 20, 1960, in Council Bluffs to Betty (Tiffey) and Donald Rodasky.

Jim attended Missouri Valley High School and graduated in 1978. Jim married Jan (Steffen) Tiffey on Nov. 11, 1978. With this union, they had two sons, Bryan and Michael.

Jim started working at Moore’s Bros in Missouri Valley as a grocery boy where he learned his trade of being a meat cutter. He became a supervisor for many years at Jones Supermarket. Later on Jim started working at No Frills as the Meat Department Manager of twenty-nine years until his health declined.

Jim had several hobbies that he enjoyed. He enjoyed going to the casino, riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. But most of all he really enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sports and activities. He was also a Woodmen member for many years.

Jim is survived by his parents, Donald and Betty Rodasky; his wife, Jan Tiffey; sons, Bryan Tiffey, Michael Tiffey and wife Nikayla all of Missouri Valley; bonus children, Samantha Steinkuehler and husband Joey of Woodbine; five grandchildren, Danyelle Steinkuehler, Carter Tiffey, Kody Steinkuehler, Shelbie Tiffey, and Egan Tiffey; eight siblings, John Tiffey, Sheri Ann Rodasky and fiancé Jeremy, Eric Rodasky, Donnie Rodasky, Larry Rodasky and his wife Norma, Kathy Preston and husband Kyle, Roger Rodasky, Linda Cooling; and many other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and many other family members.

Visitation was Thursday, June 1,2023, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. The funeral service was held Friday, June 2, 2023, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Pastor Marlin Lustgraaf officiated.The music selections were “Hello Darlin”, “Grandpa” and “Dancing in the Sky”. The honorary bearers were Danyelle Steinkuehler, Carter Tiffey, Kody Steinkuehler, Shelbie Tiffey and Egan Tiffey. The casket bearers were Bret Hoss, Todd Hoss, Bart Hoss, John Tiffey, Terry Tiffey and Keith Reeh.
