Keith Theodore Oliver, 79, died on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting. He was born on March 6, 1943, outside of Woodbine, to Ted and Corlyss (Burress) Oliver. He grew up near Pisgah where he attended country school for a year before going to school in Pisgah. He graduated in the class of 1961. Keith started farming right out of school and only took a break from it for the time he served his country in the Army National Guard. He was married to Diane Nuzum and they were blessed with six children, Kelly, Glenda, Stacie, Tracy, Paula and Philip. Keith enjoyed driving the school bus and working at the orchard.

Keith was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and baseball. He was involved in the Woodbine Meal Site and enjoyed delivering meals and providing transportation to others. He also enjoyed playing cards.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Voss; brother, James Oliver; brother-in-law, Harold Voss; and nephews, Kevin and Steve. He is survived by his children, Kelly (Jim) Craft of Logan, Glenda Oliver (Mark Cunard) of Logan, Stacie (Bruce) Gatrost of Missouri Valley, Tracy (Mary) Oliver of Herman, Neb., Paula (Scott) Harding of Sloan and Philip (Priscilla) Oliver of Crescent; grandchildren, Dustin (Molly) Wallis, Paige (Jeremy) Neill, Dylan (Stephanie) Wallis, Gared (Megan) Gatrost, Sydney (Sean) Monahan, Josie Oliver, Makenna Harding, Lathen Oliver, Connor Oliver, Ty Harding, Alivia Oliver, Cara Ireland and Adam Ireland; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Bob) Hall of Pisgah; sister-in-law, Ann Oliver of Woodbine; and many other relatives and friends. 

A funeral service for Keith was held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the United Methodist Church in Pisgah and was conducted by Beth Fouts. The recorded musical selections were “Amazing Grace” by Alan Jackson and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” by Vince Gill. The pallbearers were Deron Oliver, Kendall Oliver, Trent Hall, Troy Hall, Kraig Voss and Kyle Voss. Keith’s final resting place is at the Solder Valley Cemetery outside of Pisgah.
