Kimberly Blackley age 67, of Missouri Valley, passed away on Tuesday March 15, 2022, in Omaha, Neb. Kim was born on Sept. 29, 1954, in Des Moines, to Irene (Bohle) Sodergren and Richard Sodergren. Kim graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines in 1972.
Kim was married to Mike Blackley in Loveland, Colo. on Nov. 25, 1983. After residing in Denison for a few years, they moved to California Junction in 1990, and resided there ever since.
Kim had numerous jobs in the Missouri Valley area, retiring in 2014. Her hobbies included caring for her terriers, tending the flowers in the yard, crocheting, camping, and traveling around the western US.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard.
Kim is survived by her husband, Mike; son, Travis and his wife Heather of Urbandale; grandson, Jacob; and granddaughter, Arianna.
There will be no services. The family requests any memorials be made to the Harrison County Humane Society in Kim’s honor.
