Norman C. Alexander, 86

Norman Clark Alexander, 86, was born Jan. 15, 1935, to Marion and Nellie (Motz) Alexander. He was raised on the family farm in Raglan Township attending Echo Grade School and graduation from Magnolia High School in 1954. Norman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Oct. 10, 2021.

Norman married the love of his life, Odelia Joann Wicker (Joann), in 1964. Norman proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service he worked for many years as a Union Carpenter, retiring as a carpenter. Norman loved woodworking and built many keepsakes for his family. He was also an avid Amateur Radio Operator. Norman’s love for our country and our God were displayed daily by the way he lived his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Nellie Alexander; daughter, Cynthia Dickerson; son-in-law, Willy Dickerson; granddaughter, Nita Jo Lively; and great-granddaughter, Emily Tucker.

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joann; daughters, Cathy Lively and husband Boyd, Tami Mao and husband Dan; grandchildren, Billy Jordan, Joshua Jordan, Adrienne Tucker, Jessica Alexander, Ella Mao, and Dylan Mao; great-grandchildren, Isiaiah Jordon, Adrienne Tucker, Kathy Jordon, and Jude Gowen; brother, Francis (Buddy) Alexander; and niece, Lisa Alexander. There will be no funeral at this time.
