Susan L Ruffcorn (Sue), 65, from Missouri Valley, passed peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on Dec. 26, 1957, to her parents James and Dorothy Evans in Kadoka, S.D. She has two sisters.
Susan is proceeded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Evans; and her son, Dusty Ruffcorn.
She is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Chingren (Gary) Springfield, Neb., Barbara Winter (Mike) Gordon, Neb.; three sons, Rocky Ruffcorn, Missouri Valley, Rusty Ruffcorn (Ida) Cozad, Neb., Clifford Ruffcorn (Krystal), Omaha, Neb.; numerous grandchildren, family, and friends.
Visitation and funeral service were Friday at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Pastor Matt Zingraf officiated. The music selections were “Jealous of the Angels”, “Will the Circle be Unbroken”, “Wake Up Little Susie” and “The Gambler”. The casket bearers were Josh Johnson, Josh Oliver, Tyson Poderys, Mark Pafford, Robert McMillan and Andy Nielsen. The final resting place is Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia.
