Virgil Lee Hamer, age 88, of Broadview, Ill., was born born Oct. 3, 1933, and passed away Feb. 8, 2022. Virgil was preceeded in death by his wife, Joan; parents, Vernon & Letta Hamer; sister, Darla Huebner; and son-in-law, Melvin Neagle. Virgil is survived by his children, Lucinda Shannon, Victoria Williams (Ron), Sherise Gibson Ellis (Tom), Kathleen Hamer, Candace Neagle, Kimberly Life, Stephen Hamer (Marsha), Constance Fulkerth (Randy); 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; step-children, Kevin Sinram (Pam), Karen Svihla (Ken), Keith Sinram (Olga), Kim Kruczkowski (Dave) and their families; his brothers, Jerald Hamer, Dennis Hamer; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Private Interment will be held at later date at Soldier Cemetery in Pisgah.
