WIC LEGENDS: The Western Iowa Conference recognizes coaches who have invested time and success into their programs, and two more were inducted on May 1 at the Western Iowa Conference track championships at Tri-Center. 2024 WIC LEGEND: Retiring Missouri Valley Principal Kristie Mason was honored as a Western Iowa Conference Legend at the WIC Track Meet on May 1 at Tri-Center. Mason coached for the both the Missouri Valley golf teams and the Missouri Valley volleyball teams in her 30-plus years with the school district.

2024 WIC LEGEND: 'Retiring' Coach Rod Unger (right) was recognized as a WIC Legend at the Western Iowa Conference track championships on May 1 at Tri-Center. He has served numerous roles in Big Reds athletics, including junior high football and track coach, as well as over 30-plus years to the Big Reds high school baseball program.
