Absentee voting starts today in the Harrison County Auditor’s Office. Anyone wanting to vote by mail for the upcoming primary election held on June 4 will need to complete an “Absentee Ballot Request Form.” Request forms are available to download at www.sos.iowa.gov or by contacting the auditor’s office at 712-644-2401 and forms will be mailed to you.

Absentee Ballot Request forms can also be handwritten but must include the following information: name, driver’s license number or voter PIN number, address, date of birth, the election name (PRIMARY) or date of election (June 4, 2024), political party designation, voter’s signature and date.

Completed absentee ballot request forms for a ballot to be mailed to the voter must be received in the auditor’s office no later than May 20. Voters should act now to request an absentee ballot. The auditor’s office mailing address is 111 N Second Ave, Logan, IA 51546.

Voters can still vote in person at the auditor’s office starting on May 15 through June 3. Office hours are 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Questions can be directed to Susan Bonham, Harrison County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, at 712-644-2401.
