Buena Vista’s Bobby Gross earns academic honor
Buena Vista’s Bobby Gross (Boyer Valley) was honored as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District student-athletes. He is among 58 in the American Rivers Conference student-athletes honored on last week.
The Buena Vista University football team had seven players earn a spot on this year's College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
To be eligible, an individual must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. The student-athlete must either start at least 90 percent of the team's total number of games played during the season at the time of the nomination or play in at least 66 percent.
A maximum of eight individuals could be nominated by a school's athletics communications department. A combined total of 58 players from the nine American Rivers Conference schools were recognized on this year's team.
