A legislative coffee was held at the Logan Community Center this past Saturday, with State Rep. Matt Windschitl and State Sen. Mark Costello making appearances and discussing what is coming down the pipe this session.
As your local reporter, I pride myself on covering the events of this area and bringing them to you in a timely fashion. Although I am one person, I still try to bring you those things as close to when they actually happened as possible. This can be a challenge when the paper comes out only once a week, but it is what it is.
That is why I am apologizing for not having a story on the legislative coffee in this week's paper. I hope that by looking through this paper you can see that it has been a rather eventful time, and with our annual Harrison County Proud publication coming up, I have to slice and dice my time in ways that look to both my short term and long term projects.
But, excuses are lame, so I'll just ask for forgiveness instead.
With that, I promise to have a long, in-depth recap of what was discussed at the forum in next week's paper. Several topics revolving around education, carbon capture pipelines, utilities, cancer rates and the potential implementation of a “hands-free bill” were all touched on.
If you have any questions about the meeting in the meantime, you can still call or email me. And most importantly, please don't give up on me!
