Schauer, Democrats open campaign headquarters
Benjamin Schauer, Democratic candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives (District 15) and the Harrison County Democratic Party are thrilled to announce the opening of their campaign headquarters in Missouri Valley.
“The opening of this office is a big move for the campaign and for the county party,” Benjamin Schauer, District 15 candidate and Harrison County Democratic Chair shared. “It shows that we are viable, well organized, and have the resources to compete at a much higher level than we have in the past.”
The grand opening pulled in 21 volunteers from Harrison and rural Pottawattamie counties and consisted of a community canvass, postcard writing, and get out the vote phone banking in advance of the June 2nd primary. Individuals interested in volunteering should contact the Harrison County Democrats (harrisoncountyiadems@gmail.com), Schauer for Iowa campaign (voteschauer@gmail.com), or stop by the office.
“This office was a dream a year ago, and I’m ecstatic to see it become reality,” said Schauer. “The excitement we’ve gotten already is electric, and that’s the whole point of this space. We’re done being a party in exile in our own county. We’re proud to be Democrats, and it’s far past time we took an active role in the political life of this area.”
Democratic headquarters are located at 400 E Erie Street in downtown Missouri Valley.
Community canvassing and other volunteer efforts will be announced via email, social media, and posted at headquarters.
