Eddy Loren Riggs, age 70, passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2024. He was born on March 4, 1954, to Kenneth and Ethel (Hogg) Riggs.
Eddy was a man who loved the outdoors. He spent countless hours working on projects outside, camping, hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He cherished time with his family and friends and had a special joy for playing Santa Claus during the holiday season.
Eddy served his country in the U.S. Marines and was a proud veteran. He was a self-employed roofer, concrete worker, and general contractor for many years. Eddy also owned a restaurant, showcasing his love for bringing people together. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and friend. His kindness, work ethic and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Eddy was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Riggs; mother, Ethel Riggs (Hogg); and sisters, Cheryl Ridinger and Cindy Riggs.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda Riggs (Hall); daughter, Darla McIntosh, and son-in-law, Joe McIntosh; granddaughter, Desirae McIntosh; great-granddaughter, Dayanara; son, Eddy Riggs II; sister, Chris Graybill; stepson, John Harrison, and daughter-in-law, Thea Harrison; grandchildren, Sadie Davis, Micky Higgins, and Hailey Higgins; stepson, Jason Babcock, and daughter-in-law, Cassandra Babcock; grandchildren, Teagan Babcock and Tyson Babcock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
An Honors Ceremony and Celebration of Life was held on March 4, 2025.
