Panthers shut down Rebels
Logan-Magnolia picked up a key 33-7 win over Westwood in Class A, District 8 action on Sept. 18 at Sloan.
“We knew going in it was going to be a four-quarter battle, and they did a great job adjusting to what we were trying to do,” stated Head Coach Jack West. “Defensively, it was our best team performance on that side of the ball.”
Crosby Yoder (144 yds, 2 TDs), Liam Lease (24 yds, 1 TD) and Max Wingert (53-yds, 1 TD) all found the end zone for the Panthers. Keenan Kuhlman added a touchdown reception.
Defensively, Ashton Peszulik (6.5 tackles), Robert Bothwell (4.5 tackles) and Keenan Kuhlman (3.0 tackles, 1 INT) had solid efforts.
“The team brought great energy this week, and we had some intense practices,” West concluded. “We picked up a huge win on the road, and now we work to improve for this week.”
Up Next (Sept. 25 / Oct. 2): Logan-Magnolia (1-1, 3-1) will host West Monona for Homecoming on Sept. 25, then travel to IKM-Manning on Oct. 2.
