Harrison County Supervisors Meeting July 7, 2022 Chairman Walter Utman called the meeting to order with members John Straight and Tony Smith in attendance. The tentative agenda was approved on a motion by Straight, second by Smith. Unanimous approval. Previous minutes were approved on a motion by Smith, second by Straight. Unanimous approval. Attendance: Auditor Susan Bonham, Paul J. Rhoten Schneider Geospatial Micah Cutler from Schneider Geospatial introduced herself to the Board. Ms Cutler is in charge of contracted GIS services needed for Harrison County. General discussion about services took place with no action being needed. Reserve Peace Officer Policy Sheriff Doiel and Sergeant Klutts presented the revised Reserve Peach Officer Policy to the Board. Motion to approve by Straight, second by Smith. Unanimous approval. Deputy Auditor Auditor Susan Bonham requested the appointment of Emily Allmon to Real Estate Deputy Auditor and Megan Reffett as Payroll Deputy Auditor effective July 18, 2022. Motion to approve by Smith, second by Straight. Unanimous approval. GIS Position Auditor Bonham reviewed three companies she had contacted regarding the County’s search for a GIS coordinator. No action was taken. Engineer County Engineer Steven Struble updated the Board on the following projects: Taylor #12 Bridge Replacement on F-50 over Allen Creek – Paving subcontractor poured the cement concrete 8” and 10” pavement for the two 70’ reinforced sections abutting each end of the bridge and the remaining 20’ or so at the west end. HMA Patching for Various Sites – Engineer Struble told the Board that he had accepted a quotation from Ten Point Construction in the amount of $93,868 for asphalt patching work at various locations throughout the County. Melody Oaks Surfacing Project – County crews are removing trees and brush in the right of ways. Claims Claims, as presented, were stamped for approval. With business of the day completed, the Board adjourned on a motion by Straight, second by Smith. Unanimous approval.
