James D. Fullford passed away at the VA Hospital in Denver, Colo. on Feb. 26, 2025, of heart failure. Jim was preceded in death by his spouse, Loretta; grandparents; parents, John and Marjorie Fullford; brothers, David and Ted Fullford; and daughter, Brook Fullford. Jim is survived by his son, John (Jolie) Fullford of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Gwen (Phillip) Bleignier, of Aurora, Colo., Kortney Fullford, of Pueblo, Colo.; brother, Steve (Denise) Fullford of Omaha, Neb.; and sister, Vickie (Denny) Cunard of Missouri Valley. Jim had seven grandchildren.
Jim was born April 25, 1946, in Creston, to John and Marjorie Fullford. He graduated from Lo-Ma High School in 1964, and in the same year he joined the US Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam 1964-1966. Jim was a lifelong member of the Logan VFW and American Legion Post #1 in Denver, Colo. He was also a member of Marine Corps Tankers Association. Jim was employed by Imperial Outdoor Advertising until 1976, when he moved his family to Castle Rock, Colo., where he worked for 20 years with Douglas County School in Castle Rock, Colo. as a building engineer until his retirement in 2008.
Jim had requested that the family not have a funeral for him, but if you knew him, tip a cold one in his memory.
