Jan Creasman presented Democratic Lifetime Achievement Award
Longtime Democratic activist Jan Creasman of rural Woodbine was presented the Iowa Democratic Party’s Lifetime Achievement Award, as she was inducted into the Iowa Democratic Hall of Fame at a regional event on Oct. 25 in Glenwood.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to Iowa Democrats who have monumentally impacted their state and local parties through community and political organizing efforts. Harrison County Democrat Chair Benjamin Schauer presented the award at the Glenwood event.
Schauer stated, “Jan has never given up on Iowa, and when we finally flip these rural counties blue, it will be because of people like Jan Creasman that worked through the lean years to ensure the flame of Democratic ideals never went dark. She is a true example of what a lifetime of activism looks like, and she should serve as an inspiration for all of us.”
