Oakley King Nominated for National Math Star Program
Logan-Magnolia is proud to recognize Oakley King, who recently completed third grade, for an outstanding academic achievement in mathematics.
Oakley earned a score that placed him among the top 2% of students his age on the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) mathematics assessment. As a result of his exceptional performance, he has been nominated for the National Math Star program.
The National Math Star program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying and supporting students with exceptional mathematical talent.
Through the program, students have access to advanced mathematics coursework, STEM enrichment opportunities, and a nationwide community of peers who share a passion for learning and problem-solving.
If accepted into the program, Oakley will have the opportunity to further develop his mathematical abilities through specialized learning experiences designed to challenge and inspire young scholars.

He consistently demonstrated strong critical thinking skills and approached math with curiosity and enthusiasm. He is not only a talented mathematician but also a kind and humble student who leads by example in the classroom," noted his classroom teacher, Mrs. Kara Darnell.
