Faith Staska, 21, of Missouri Valley, died around 3 a.m. Sunday morning as a passenger in a single-vehicle accident on 335th near Merrick Place.
According to a press release from the Harrison County Sheriff’s office, the Chevy Cruze driven by Quinten Vogel, 21, of Missouri Valley, approached a curve at the intersection with Merrick Place. The vehicle ran off the road to the right, within a left curve of the roadway, entered the southeast ditch, struck several trees and totaled the car.
Vogel suffered unknown injuries and was transported by Missouri Valley ambulance to CHI Health Center in Omaha.
Missouri Valley police, fire and ambulance, as well as Iowa State Patrol assisted.
