Moorhead hosts two arts events

 

Local crafters will come with exciting exhibits for Moorhead’s craft exhibit Aug. 7 through Sept. 20. Crafters include “Imagination to Creation” by Cheryl Reynolds from Sioux City.

 

“Nature Inspired Art” by Shirley Konz of Panora; “Trout Woodcraft” by the Trout Brothers of Omaha;

 

“Lucid Dreaming Inspired” by Holy and Mike Coffelt of Sioux City; and “Dollie’s Destiny Books and Art” by Mary Morgan of Odebolt.

 

Items include homemade cards and special gift items, books made from children’s stories, glass cutting boards, wood spinners, painting on shovels, wildflower artwork, paper crafts and more. The Cultural Center is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays through Sundays at 120 Oak Street in Moorhead.

Also, the Moorhead Cultural Center is seeking entrants for what it describes as “not your typical art tour.”

 

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 10 and noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 11.4 p.m This is an opportunity for local artists to showcase their 4 p.m work during a two-day self-guided tour through the beautiful Loess Hills area. There is no participation 4 p.m fee to artists.

 

The following towns are included: Anthon, Correctionville, Oto, Smithland, Mapleton, Ute, Soldier and Moohead. The area will possibly be extended.
