National Ag Week celebrated March 15 - 21
Drive Tractors to School Day set last two weeks of the month
National Ag Week, celebrated March 15–21, is a meaningful time for Harrison County Farm Bureau to recognize and honor the hard work and dedication of our farmers and agricultural employees. It’s a week dedicated to expressing appreciation for those who sustain our communities while also highlighting agriculture as a vital industry. National Ag Week provides the perfect opportunity to promote agriculture as a rewarding career path, a strong economic driver, and a leader in research and technological innovation.
In celebration of National Ag Week, Harrison County Farm Bureau proudly hosts its annual Tractor Drive Challenge. This friendly competition among Harrison County schools encourages students to participate in their Drive Your Tractor to School events. Each student who participates receives a T-shirt from Harrison County Farm Bureau, and the school with the highest participation earns a $200 donation to support its STEM or FFA chapter.
This year, five schools and 125 students are taking part in the Tractor Drive Challenge.
A favorite tradition for many students, this event showcases their pride in agriculture. Harrison County Farm Bureau encourages community members to attend the morning tractor drives, cheer on our local students, and join us in celebrating agriculture in our community.
Community members are encourage to get out and support the future of Agriculture.
