Chill Mezcal, which bills itself as a “brunch bar and grill,” had its soft opening on July 18 with a menu of burgers, waffles and tacos. By 9 a.m. eight customers were already seated. Owner Joe Becerra plans an official grand opening this week and promises a mix of food from two cultures. He saw an opportunity in Missouri Valley and wants to support the town and create jobs. Future menu items include horchata and other aguas frescas “better than horchata.”.
