NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Harrison County Board of Supervisors, acting under the authority of Iowa Code Chapter 306, proposes to vacate a section Harrison County Secondary Road, described as follows: On Ivanhoe Lane, commencing at a point on the northerly right of way of State Highway #127, approximately 250 feet North of the center of said highway on the west line of the SE1/4 NE1/4 Section 35-T80N-R44W and running thence northerly along the centerline of Ivanhoe Lane and terminating at a point near the NW corner of the NE1/4 NE ΒΌ Section 35-T80N-R44W A hearing will be held by the Harrison County Board of Supervisors in their office, Harrison County Courthouse, 111 North 2nd Avenue, Logan, Iowa 51546 at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The hearing will allow for statements for and against the proposed road vacation. Any person owning land abutting on the road proposed to be vacated and closed shall have the right to file, in writing, a claim for damages at any time on or before the date and time fixed for the hearing. Letters shall be submitted to the County Engineer at P.O. Box 171 Logan, Iowa 51546. Note: Utilities are granted a permanent and perpetual easement for the continuance of maintaining existing facilities for such construction, reconstruction, replacement, and repair thereof as may be deemed necessary by the utilities in the future (Iowa Code 306.22, 479.17, 479.24).
