NOTICE TO BID The City of Missouri Valley is accepting sealed bids for cash lease of real estate described as: Part of Lot Seven SE¼ NE¼ Section 16, Township 78 North, Range 44, West of the 5th P.M., Harrison County, Iowa, and located to the east, south and north of the new water plant, and containing 12 acres, M/L. Anyone wishing to lease the above property may submit sealed bids for the same to the City Administrator, City Hall, 223 East Erie Street, Missouri Valley, IA 51555 by 5 p.m. on November 13, 2020. The City will open said bids at the Council Meeting held at 6 p.m. on November 17, 2020 and will award the lease to the highest bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any bids without cause. The successful bidder will be expected to enter into a written lease with the City of Missouri Valley which contains the following terms: 1. Bids will be for cash, payable at signing of lease. 2. Bid will be for total cash price; the property is not being offered by the acre and no guarantee as to exact acreage will be given by the City. 3. Tenant will be expected to keep weeds, ditches and other areas not under cultivation mowed. 4. The term of the lease will be for one year, and the property will be advertised for bid at the end of that time. 5. Ground will not be planted in corn.
