The arraignment for Sebastin O'Brien, the 22-year-old Little Sioux man charged with the murder of Douglas Manley, 53, of Missouri Valley, is scheduled for Monday.

Following a vehicle rollover south of Modale on April 21, O'Brien allegedly became combative with deputies and was placed in custody. After further investigation, it was found that O'Brien was allegedly not the owner of the vehicle involved in the rollover. Harrison County deputies found the owner, later identified as Manley, deceased inside his residence in rural Harrison County, according to an affidavit.

Three days later, the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner officially ruled Manley's death as a homicide caused by blunt force trauma.

The criminal investigation is being conducted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Iowa State Patrol.
