O'Brien enters not guilty plea

Sebastin O'Brien, the 22-year-old Little Sioux man charged in the murder of Douglas Manley, 53, of Missouri Valley, had a written arraignment and plea of not guilty entered on Monday.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for June 17 and the jury trial is scheduled to begin July 16, as a demand for a speedy trial was also entered by the defense.

Jennifer Miralles and Andrew Mark Edward Munger will serve as O'Brien's public defenders. Ashley Nicole West and Frank Severino Jr. will prosecute.
