PUBLIC NOTICE Iowa Regional Planning Affiliation (RPA)-18 releases its Draft FY2024 Transportation Improvement Program for public comment from May 25, 2023, to June 23, 2023. The Transportation Improvement Program is a document, updated annually, which demonstrates the progress toward projects receiving federal and state transportation funding. It includes projects such as highway maintenance and expansion, bicycle and pedestrian trail work, which are selected by Regional Planning Affiliation-18. The Draft TIP also includes updates to projects led by the Iowa Department of Transportation. Regional Planning Affiliation-18 includes Harrison, Shelby and Mills Counties and the eastern, non-urbanized portion of Pottawattamie County. The RPA-18 TIP includes all projects receiving state or federal transportation dollars within the RPA-18 boundary. The Draft FY2024 Transportation Improvement Program includes projects totaling $1.9 million in funding from the Surface Transportation Block Grant program and $175,000 in Transportation Alternatives Program grant funding.
