Putting things on 'paws'

Lo-Ma students volunteer for Paws Day

On Monday, Logan-Magnolia students and staff spent the morning doing community service to provide a meaningful “paws” from the Panthers typical schedule during the school day.

In the afternoon, students and staff returned to the school for a cookout, which was followed by games and activities. On site were an inflatable and rock wall provided by the National Guard, various yard games, Nine Square, Gaga Ball, squirt guns and water balloons. A Kona Ice Truck provided refreshment over the course of the afternoon, which also saw tournament games, a slip and slide and water fight before dismissal for the day.

This is the second year Paws Day has been held at the school, with last year coming to fruition due to the ideas of Bailey and Jake Krueger, who are the guidance counselor and industrial tech teacher at Logan-Magnolia, respectively.

This year's Paws Day committee, which helped organize the event, was made up of students Alivia Leonard, Jaiden Jahn, Jace Straight, Gavin Kiger, Rory Madsen, Marki Bertelsen, Kaiya Knauss, Katie Gomez, Brooklyn Hanlon and Jaelyn Lease, as well as adult sponsors Delaney Aquallo, Baylee Thompson and Bailey Krueger.
