Randy Thorpe, age 72 of Missouri Valley, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022. Randy M. Thorpe was born on Sept. 30, 1950, to Milton and Wanda (Sisley) Thorpe in Council Bluffs. He was a graduate of Missouri Valley High School. He was employed with Goodwill Industries for 30 years. Randy was a lifetime resident of Missouri Valley. He enjoyed word puzzles, Nebraska football and trips to Hawaii.
Survivors include his brother, Craig (Diane) Thorpe; nieces and nephews, Caroline (Miguel) Santos, Rachael (Winston) Wormann, Allison (Marc) Willis, Emily Thorpe, Michelle (Mark Mae) Thorpe, Scott Thorpe and Michael (Ashlee) Thorpe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Garry Thorpe and Larry Thorpe.
Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Hennessey Funeral Home, in Missouri Valley. Pastor Connie McWilliams is officiating. The music selections are “The Old Rugged Cross”, “Aloha” and “I Can Only Imagine”. The casket bearers are Craig Thorpe, Scott Thorpe, Michael Thorpe, Migo Santos, Winston Worman and Marc Willis. The final resting place is the Rose Hill Cemetery in Missouri Valley.
