The Masonic Lodges of Missouri Valley and Logan helped to organize a visit from the Fontenelle Forest raptor program, with Missouri Valley and Logan-Magnolia elementary students being treated to a presentation on May 14.

Lo-Ma elementary students filled up the high school gym in Logan during the early afternoon that day before the speakers traveled to the Activity Learning Center in Missouri Valley later in the afternoon.

Bob Fuchs and Dianne Guinn were the guest speakers from Fontenelle Forest, talking to students about Aero the peregrine falcon, Jamaica the red-tailed hawk and one of the program's owls.

Students learned about the lives of each of the birds, as well as the science behind numerous aspects of their species, such as sight, hearing, smell and flight.
