Robbery takes place at Mondamin bank

On May 3, 2023, at approximately 9:29 a.m., the Harrison County Communication Center received a notification of a robbery at Midstates Bank located in Mondamin. Law enforcement was then dispatched to the scene.

An investigation into the robbery found that a suspect entered the lobby of the bank, displayed a firearm and demanded money from bank employees.

According to a release provided by Harrison County Sheriff Brandon Doiel, “The suspect is described as being approximately six feet tall, thin build, wearing a dark-colored full face mask, light-colored jacket with hood, dark-colored pants, gloves and a backpack.”

After collecting money, the suspect exited the building and headed north by foot through the alley located on the east side of the bank.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is working alongside the Federal Bureau of Investigation to resolve the incident. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
