Ronald B. Reiff, Sr., age 87, of Council Bluffs, passed away Dec. 28, 2025, at his home. Ron was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Council Bluffs. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1956; attended Iowa State for two years and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Ron was a regional manager for IBM for 18 years. He served as mayor for the city of Missouri Valley for two terms and owned Apple Valley Art Studio in Missouri Valley. Ron was an active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs; avid harmonica player; artist and musician; He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and the Patriot Riders. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Earl Reiff in 1971; and his sister, Sharon Jacobsen in 2018. Ron is survived by his loving companion, Marjorie; sons, Dayton (Darleen) Reiff of Baton Rouge, La., Ron (Theresa Wacha) Reiff, Jr. of Council Bluffs; five grandchildren, Jason, Ian, Lauren, Amber, and Ronnie, 12 great-grandchildren; nephew, Eric Jacobsen of Omaha. Funeral service and visitation was Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 2444 North Broadway. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
