Ruth Virginia Berry, maiden name McCall, born in Sioux City, on July 31, 1942, and died Aug. 25, 2026.
She lived most of her life in Iowa with stops in Kentucky and Massachusetts related to Army life. She met her husband Jimmy Berry in the army and had 50 wonderful years together before his passing in 2010.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; Father, Earl; and Mother, Theodora.
Survived by her son Jimmy Earl and wife Michelle; daughter Dawn Eve and husband Andy; daughter April Marie and husband Brandon; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jamie (Eric), Megan (Billy), Michael, and Amanda (Edwin); great-grandchildren Cara, Riley, Jewel, River, Marcus, and Jack.
Along the way she adopted family in the nursing home. Several people because they "looked like a Berry must be cousins" and Esther.
She was loved by all of us and will be missed dearly.
Services were conducted on Aug. 29, 2026.
