In Loving Memory of Scott Knauss

Sunrise: 4/9/1965 – Sunset: 9/14/2025

It is with both tears and laughter that we remember the life of Scott Knauss, who passed away on 9/14/25 at the age of 60. If you ever heard someone laughing too loudly in a quiet room, chances are it was him—or someone reacting to one of his famously terrible jokes.

Born in Council Bluffs, Scott was the kind of person who could turn a mundane Tuesday into a comedy special. His wit was quick, his timing impeccable, and his ability to find humor in the everyday was nothing short of genius. Whether he was impersonating relatives at family gatherings or telling hilarious stories just to make your day, he made sure joy was never in short supply.

But beneath the jokes was a heart as big as his laugh. He was a loyal brother, a generous friend, and the kind of person who’d give you the shirt off his back—though he’d probably make a joke about how it was his last clean one. He loved his family, lived quietly, and never missed a chance to make someone smile.

He leaves behind a family who adored him, friends who cherished him, and a legacy of laughter that will echo in our hearts forever. In his honor, we encourage everyone to tell a bad joke, laugh until it hurts, and hug someone a little tighter.

A graveside service and remembrance of Scott’s life will be held on 9/25/25 at Bethel cemetery, Logan, at 11:00 am

Hawaiian shirts and goofy socks are welcome—he wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Rest easy, Scott. Heaven just got a whole lot funnier.
