Scott Moore will received the one of the highest honors known to any musician. Even when it was announced in early January, he stated it still doesn’t seem real.

The Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association is pleased to announce the 2025 Hall of Fame class. This year marks the 28th year of honoring career achievements, as inductees come from five regions in Iowa: Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, Southeast, and the Central Region will be honored.

Ralph Kluseman, President of the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Association stated: “The Class of 2025 Hall of Fame Celebration for this outstanding class of inductees and award winners will be held on Labor Day weekend, August 29-31, at Arnolds Park. We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments that have made such an impact on all our lives.”

SCOTT MOORE

Scott Moore is a 1982 Missouri Valley High School graduate, and the son of Gene and Norma Moore.

Moore’s musical journey began early-on at the Omaha Show Wagon stage in the summer of 1974. By 1978, he had earned his first paycheck, setting a stage for dynamic and diverse career. A Wayne State College graduate with dual degrees in music composition and psychology, Moore became a fixture in the Midwest and beyond, collaborating with countless ensembles and artists.

Career highlights include winning Omaha’s ‘Battle of the Bands’ with Tempus Fugit (1983), touring England with Wayne State Madrigal ensemble (1985), and co-producing the soundtrack for ‘Omaha, the Movie’ (1993). From 2001-2003, Scott toured America an Asia as part of “The Wanted” alongside Dreamworks/Warner Brothers artist, Jolie Edwards.

An accomplished performer, he has contributed vocal and orchestral works at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels since 1980. His long-standing role as on-call jazz pianist for the Omaha Symphony (2013-present) showcases his versatility, as does his tenure with the Midwest’s premier Pink Floyd tribute act Floyd since 2011. In 2023, he performed his arrangement of “The Wall” with Kanesville Symphony.

Since 2016, Scott has been a key member of the 1970’s tribute band, ‘PetRock’, performing his symphonic arrangements with the Omaha Symphony in 2020, with more collaborations on the horizon.

Scott’s enduring passion for music and dedication to excellence have cemented his reputation as a remarkable performer, arranger, and collaborator.
