Panther boys third, Tiger boys fourth at Denison
Both Logan-Magnolia and Woodbine took advantage of cool, early season weather at the Denison-Schleswig Co-Ed Invitational on April 10 in Denison.
BOYS
Logan-Magnolia’s Adam Roden (high jump, 110 m hurdles) and Brodie Davis (800 m run) earned first place finishes, with Jacob Sporrer (1600 m) adding a second place. The Panthers added top finishes in the sprint medley (2nd), distance medley (3rd) and 4 x 400 m (3rd) relays.
Woodbine’s Jax Pryor (shot put) and Jacob Cogdill (discus) took top honors in the throwing events, with Ayden Coenen adding a secondd place finish in the 400 m low hurdles. The Tigers picked up second place finishes in the 4 x 200 m, distance medley, and shuttle hurdle relays.
GIRLS
Logan-Magnolia secured top finishes in the distance medley (2nd place), shuttle hurdle (4th place) and 4 x 400 m (5th place) relays. Allysen Johnsen took first place honors in the 3000 m run.
The Tigers had a strong showing in the relays, picking up second place finishes in the sprint medley and 4 x 800 m relays, while adding a third place finish in the 4 x 400 m relay. Individually, Vanessa Blum earned a first place finish in the high jump.
