Woodbine Educational Endowment recognizes doners

Woodbine Community School Education Foundation Endowment Fund was established in 2012 and has been a remarkable tool for enhancing the educational opportunities for students in the school district.

The WCS Education Foundation Endowment Fund fulfilled over 30 grant requests during the last 13 years.

At the Dec. 16 home basketball game, they recognized the 2025-26 recipients: Jess Allen, Andrea Feller & Michelle Drenth, Kassey Bartels for K-1 Elementary, Sarah Cox, Amantha Fitchhorn, and Dee Thoms.

The WCS Education Foundation Endowment Fund Board of Directors Paul & Beth Fouts, Cindy Pryor, Maureen Allen, Deb Sprecker, and Tracy Kelley.

The WCSD Endowment Board is so appreciative of the contributions that have been made and are thankful to those that believe in the cause. The Education Foundation is an excellent vehicle that allows individuals a way to personally contribute to our education system. We are very fortunate to live in a town that knows the value of working together as a united group.

The most recent contributions have included honoring former staff members of WCS, loved ones lost, gifts of grain, and matching funds from an anonymous donor’s employer, Chevron Phillips.
