Panthers rally past Wolves
Logan-Magnolia made just enough plays to pull out a 14-13 win at IKM-Manning on Oct. 2 in Manning.
Brodie Davis finished with 105-yards (1 TD) passing to pace the offense, with Zach Diggins pulling in the scoring pass. Ashton Peszulik scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Panthers.
“Our defense had a big defensive stop as time expired in the first half, and that gave us momentum heading into the break,” stated Head Coach Jack West. “We had so many players step up, including a huge fake punt stop in the second half that set us up for the winning score.”
Max Wingert (8.5 tackles), Wade Hawkins (5.5 tackles), Jaxon Baker (4.5 tackles) and Robert Bothwell (4.5 tackles) led a strong defensive effort. Crosby Yoder added an interception.
“Our kids kept battling, and we still have a chance at the post-season,” West concluded.
Up Next (Oct. 9 / Oct. 16): Logan-Magnolia (2-2, 4-2) will host Woodbury Central for Senior Night on Oct. 9, and travel to Akron-Westfield in the regular season finale on Oct. 16 at Akron.
