Wanda A. Costanzo, 67

Wanda Ann Costanzo, age 67, of Missouri Valley, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, in the comfort of her home. Wanda was born July 3, 1953, in Omaha, Neb. to Jean (Soliday) Larson. She married Louis on Dec. 31, 1969, in this unity there were five children, Scott, Emmanuel, Jarrod, William and Julie. While the kids were small Wanda worked odd jobs at Winchell’s Donuts, IBP Meat Packing Plant and then became in home daycare. When the family moved to Missouri Valley in 1989, she worked at Happy Chef before opening her own café in Modale in 1994. Wanda enjoyed her baking and late-night adventures to the casino. She also enjoyed all the family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved Mickey Mouse and drinking her coffee all day long.

She is preceded in death by her son Manny, step-dad LaVern Larson, sister Sandy Simon and many aunts and uncles.

Wanda is survived by her mother Jean Larson, husband of 51 years Louis Costanzo, children Scott (Linda), Jarrod, William (Sierra) Julie (Tim); grandchildren Dakota, Dylan, Louis, Ryan, Jacob, Andrew, Billy, Mackenzie, Olivia, Andrew (Little Man) and Lisa; and great-grandchildren Ellie, Dawn, Bella, Bradwyn, Ty and Leo.

Visitation was Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Memorials can be directed to the family. The Funeral Service was Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Pastor Brad Westercamp officiated. The music selections were “Go Rest High on That Mountain”, “Jealous of the Angels” and “Amazing Grace”. The Honorary Casket Bearers were Scott Costanzo and Dylan Reed. The Casket Bearers were Jarrod Costanzo, William Costanzo, Ryan Meade, Jacob Meade, Billy Costanzo and Andrew Meade. The final resting place is at the Evergreen Cemetery in Missouri Valley.
