Kristopher Allan Erlbacher, 28, of Woodbine was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 17 following a hit and run incident outside Dave’s Old Home Café in Pisgah that left another man dead.
Just after 10 p.m. Thursday night the Harrison County Sheriff’s Officer received a 911 call that someone had just been involved in a hit and run outside the landmark café.
Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased man, later identified by family members as Caleb Solberg of Moorhead. Witnesses on scene identified both parties involved and were able to provide details of the incident.
Erlbacher returned to the scene and was taken into custody without further incident, according to a press release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Woodbine Police Department, Monona County Sheriff’s Office and the Harrison County Attorney’s Office.
