Woodbine Student Killed in Fatality

Woodbine teen fatality in Harrison County Crash

 

A 15-year-old from Woodbine died on June 11 in a single-vehicle crash in Harrison County.

 

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 9:08 a.m. June 11 near the intersection of Tama Trail and 194th Street, also known as County Road F32.

 

Authorities say a 2010 Ford F-150 was traveling north on Tama Trail at a high rate of speed when it failed to stop at the intersection and struck an embankment north of the roadway.

 

The driver, identified only as a juvenile, died from injuries suffered in the crash. The State Patrol report indicates the teen was not wearing a seatbelt.

 

The juvenile was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office by Fouts Funeral Home.

 

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
