Missouri Valley schools receive new American Flags from WoodmenLife
Missouri Valley Community School District (MVCSD) is proud to announce a partnership with WoodmenLife to update the American flags in classrooms across the district.
The initiative began when Superintendent Christi Gochenour reached out to WoodmenLife to address a need for larger, high-quality flags for daily morning pledges. While many classrooms were previously using small, handheld flags, this donation will provide a box of forty 3'x5' American-made flags to be displayed on classroom walls.
"We wanted to ensure our students have a proper flag to look toward during this important daily tradition. We are incredibly grateful to WoodmenLife for their generosity in making this possible," said Superintendent Gochenour.
WoodmenLife, known for its commitment to community outreach and patriotism, made a special exception to their typical donation limits to accommodate the district's needs. The flags are being sourced through a local vendor, A1 Flags, Poles, and Repair.
On March 11, Susie DeVeney of the WoodmenLife Community Outreach, Deidre Snow from the WoodmenLife Sales Force, as well as local volunteers from WoodmenLife Chapter 635 presented the flags to the Missouri Valley Schools.
To continue honoring the United States’ 250th anniversary celebrations, WoodmenLife will also bring a massive 30’x60’ flag to the home football game on September 4, 2026. This special display serves as a cornerstone of their ongoing patriotic outreach, with more details regarding the event to be released as the date approaches.
