In an effort to get the community of Modale interested in recycling, Kathy Dugdale, a member of the city council, registered the community for the TREX Bags to Benches program. If Modale collects 500 pounds or 40,500 plastic bags in six months they’ll give a bench made out of recycled bags. more

Last spring bids were sought to add an age-appropriate playground for preschool students at Missouri Valley Elementary, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brent Hoesing. Currently, Hoesing said, pre-school students have no play structure, and tots are not allowed to play on the elementary structures due to the liability. more
